HVAC Overview

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technicians install, maintain, and repair indoor air quality systems, such as air conditioners. This may include performing warranty services, emergency repairs, and assisting with customers’ queries.

• Learn the locations of all HVAC equipment and how they relate to each building.
• Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment and components to manufactures recommendations, i.e. valves, motors, belts, bearings, filters, and lubrication, etc.
• Learn the basics of equipment management controls (metasys) to be able to start, stop, seek status, or change conditions on HVAC systems.
